RESEARCH PAPER: CQ ASSESSMENT, LOCAL MINISTRY, AND THE GREAT COMMISSION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW

In this assignment, you will do a self-evaluation of your assessed CQ in four areas (CQ Drive, CQ Knowledge, CQ Strategy, and CQ Action), so that you can have a greater Gospel impact among the nations locally and globally.
Additionally, you will focus on the cross-cultural effectiveness of ministry engagement in your local community (potential or personal), e.g. working with the homeless in your city, youth group and children’s ministry in your local church or at a local school, helping immigrants with a parachurch ministry, etc., using together your CQ Assessment and the intercultural communication principles as studied in class, especially from Chang and Chang’s book.
The main objective of this Research Paper Part I is to (i) examine your CQ Assessment and (ii) cross-cultural effectiveness of local ministry from the perspective of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 of making disciples and taking the Gospel “to all nations,” albeit locally.

INSTRUCTIONS

Key items to include in this assignment are outlined as follows:

You will include an Introduction and a Conclusion with a clear thesis of 300 words for each part.

• In this assignment, firstly, you will be required to write a minimum of 600-word evaluation of your CQ Assessment providing your overall score for each of the four CQ capabilities with a minimum of one academic source (your personal CQ Assessment report) and this will be written from the perspective of the Great
Commission.

• While evaluating your CQ Assessment, include your CQ strengths and weaknesses and a detailed plan of how you plan to increase CQ with concrete and clear steps.
• Secondly, you will be required to write a minimum of 600-word evaluation on the cross-cultural effectiveness of ministry engagement in a local community five
academic sources, and this will be written from the perspective of the Great

Commission.

• While evaluating the cross-cultural effectiveness of local ministry, make sure to discuss a concrete ministry in a particular situation (potential or personal).
• Make sure to provide all citations as footnotes.

• Format the assignment following Turabian format with a title page, contents page, paper with headings, and bibliography.
