Following APA format and the PowerPoint Presentation Guidelines, on an ethical issue in healthcare that you have experienced using the seven principles of ethics as a framework for your discussion. Explain how the dilemma fits into one of the ethical theories. Lastly, analyze the dilemma using one of the decision making models discussed in the textbook or a current peer reviewed resource.
You must include at least five reference sources related to your topic that are not part of the required readings for this course. The topic should cover some ethical dilemma you have experienced, either personally or at work by a colleague. See the Grading Rubric for Ethical Decision Making Assignment for more details and the grading criteria.
This assignment is due Sunday by 23:59 EST.
Guidelines:
A 6-8-page paper does not include the cover page, abstract, and reference list.
The 25-30 slides does not include the cover slide, abstract, and reference list.

All references must be less than 5 years old, unless they are classics. If you are in doubt, ask your course professor. They must come from peer-reviewed, scholarly journals and texts and cannot come from sources such as Wikipedia, RN, and Nursing Spectrum.
Everything must be done in APA 6th edition. That means a title page, short abstract, body of the paper, and reference that are done in APA format.
Directions and Grading
1.Introduction- Briefly and clearly identify and explain the dilemma. (5%)2) Describes the chosen ethical issue using each of the seven principles of ethical practice as a framework (14%)

3. Frames the chosen ethical issue within one of the theories (deontology, utilitarianism, etc.) presented in Chapter 9 of the Beauchamp and Childress text. Explain why the dilemma fits within that theory (7%)
4. Examines the various options available for dealing with the dilemma (12%)
5. Describe how the dilemma was resolved (7%)
6. Analyze the dilemma using one of the decision making models presented in Chapter 10 of the Beauchamp and Childress text or from a peer reviewed resource that is no older than 5 years. This should be a detailed discussion walking through the steps of the decision making model demonstrating knowledge and application of the model. (30%)
7. Draws conclusions about the overall ethical issue suggesting options for changes. (10%)
8. You must include at least five reference sources related to your topic that are not part of the required readings for this course.References should be peer reviewed and current, no more than five years old. (5%)
