Security Compliance

Overview
In this assignment, you will research 5 components of security compliance and how they impact security compliance. Using Microsoft PowerPoint, you will develop a slide for each of the provided components that includes a brief definition and how that component impacts security compliance. You will then state one possible human factor (such as time constraints, skillset, etc.) that would hinder each component’s effectiveness. Finally, you’ll propose a punishment or reward strategy to improve user adoption.
In your presentation, you may reference the articles provided in this module.
Instructions

1. Research the following components of security:
   a. Security Standards & Laws (for example, ISO 27001 and HIPAA)
   b. Security Risk Management
   c. Security Policy
   d. Security Education, Training, and Awareness
   e. Security Culture
2. Define each component and state how it impacts security compliance, positively or negatively.
3. State at least one human factor that may affect the component’s effectiveness and explain how. An example of a human factor that reduces the effectiveness of a password policy is that people cannot remember complicated passwords that must be changed frequently and thus write them down.
4. Propose a reasonable employee punishment, reward, or both strategy for each component that will help improve user compliance with the topic.

   • Your assignment should be no fewer than 5 slides, not including the title slide and references slide.
