Workshop 1:

You will review three articles according to quality criteria for qualitative research. Read the three articles (below) with methodological “glasses”. Review the three articles according to Yardleys (2000), quality criteria. Chose the criteria (you can choose several) that you find most relevant for each article. Hand in a paper, single spaced.

Workshop 2:

Hand in written paper where you discuss the literature from the perspective of two discussion questions that you formulate. The principles of mixed methods research, its rationale and relevance for psychology based on the discussion questions you bring. Prepare by reading the assigned literature:

Workshop 3:

Start to think of a research question/aim that you would like to address in a mixed methods study. Define aim/research question and a preliminary design for the study that you will present in your exam (presentation and written assignment). Write and discuss the example articles (focus on methods and mixed method design) and plus describing your research question and preliminary design.
